Praying For Each Other

First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone. 1Timothy 2:1 CSB

This is the confidence we have before him:  If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:14 CSB

I pray that he may grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power in your inner being through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Ephesians 3:16-17a CSB

Our prayers reach up to God in the heavens, even the highest heavens.

Prayer is our communication with our God. We can share our praises and thanks, but we can also share our concerns, worries, and requests. In the Bible we are also told to pray for each other. Prayer connects us to God and His love and power. And the Bible also assures us that He hears our prayers.

Paul has many prayers in the Epistles for the churches, the one above is just a short except from the prayer for the Ephesus church. As we pray for each other, I just want to offer a prayer for each of you today.

 I Pray that…

            God’s love captures your heart,

            God’s light dispels your darkness,

            God’s presence grants you rest,

            God’s comfort heals your brokenness,

            God’s Spirit guides your path,

            God’s promises increase your trust,

God’s grace surrounds you with peace,

            God’s power strengthens your confidence,

            God’s blessings inspire your joy,

God’s unchanging character anchors your faith, and that,

Your life glorifies your God. In Jesus name. Amen.

This week let’s all take some time to pray for the others in our lives, family and friends, our churches and pastors, our neighbors, and yes, even those who seem against us. Let’s talk with our God and watch Him change lives.

I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me as we pray for each other.

Blessings as we pray with God’s love and power!
