A Prayer For You and Others

First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone. 1Timothy 2:1 CSB

This is the confidence we have before him:  If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:14 CSB

I pray that he may grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with power in your inner being through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Ephesians 3:16-17a CSB

When we pray to God we can be sure that He hears us. The heavens are filled with the prayers of His people.

A prayer is how we talk to God. Our first verse tells us that we should pray for everyone and our second tells us that God hears our prayers. The last verse is the beginning of a prayer that Paul is praying for the church at Ephesus. When you pray, you can tell God anything; your thoughts, thanks, worries, problems and even ask God to help you or others. God hears.

Today, I pray a prayer for each of you!

I pray that…

You know just how much God loves you,

You understand you are His child also,

You find truth in His Word,

You accept forgiveness in His grace,

You discover peace in His presence,

You gain confidence in His power,

You are guided by His Spirit,

You are patient for His timing,

You are bold in His purpose.

This week, talk with your parents, and choose a few people you want to pray for; family, friends, your school, teachers, and maybe even those you know who aren’t so nice. Talk to God, thank Him for what He’s done for you and ask Him to help others. Pray for others, even if it doesn’t always change them, it can change how we see them.

Blessings as you talk to God and pray for others!

  1. Thank you so much for that prayer, my friend. I haven’t told anyone online yet, but Bobbie was sent home with hospice a couple of weeks ago and we are truly trusting and believing God taking it one day at a time. Again, you don’t know how much I needed to read this beautiful prayer this morning. Have a blessed and prosperous week!
