Give Praise to the Lord

Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights. Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he commanded, and they were created. Praise the LORD from the earth, all sea monsters and ocean depths. Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name is exalted. His majesty covers heaven and earth. Psalms 148:1,5,7, & 13 CSB

The mountains point to our God above and invite us to look up toward Him, too.

Our verses this week come from Psalm 148. The writer of this Psalm (or song) is calling out to all of creation to praise the Lord. After all, God commanded, and they, and us, were created. And as the people and things of creation, we are to offer praise to our Lord. We are to sing songs, tell others about all God has done, and give thanks to Him.

Give Praise to the Lord!

Angels in heaven sing to the Lord.

Winds whisper the name of God adored.

The rising sun beams with light.

The moon reflects its light at night.

Stars twinkle with honor and praise.

River waters rush, flowing always.

Mountains point to the Lord above.

Snow settling on top, gentle as His love.

Elephants trumpet, cheetahs race,

Trees sway, full of God’s grace.

Birds twitter and fly thru the skies.

People worship, God to glorify.

Women and men, girls and boys,

Sing God’s praise, raise your voice.

This week, as a marvelous part of God’s creation, let’s all praise the Lord. Do you sing praise songs in church or thank God for all He has done for your family? You are praising God! I want you to think about other parts of God’s amazing creation, how do they praise God? Talk with your parents and see how many you can think of together.

Blessings and joy praising and worshiping the Lord!
