*I am so sorry this did not get posted last Monday. I wish everyone a wonderful new school year with joy for learning.
It is that time of year, some of you are already back to school, some will start by the end of this month, and most all will be back just after Labor Day. Do you love this time of year? I did. Being with your friends and meeting new ones, learning new things, meeting your teachers, and trying out new classes and gaining knowledge.
But as you go back to school this year, I want you to realize how important school is. I want each of you to go back to school this year with an attitude of curiosity and excitement for learning new things and joy in the discovery of knowledge. The Bible has so many verses on instruction and gaining knowledge and wisdom.
Other verses from the Bible tell us – Accept my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold. Proverbs 8:10 CSB Wow, instruction and knowledge are really valuable! One more verse for you. Abundant peace belongs to those who love your instruction; nothing makes them stumble. Psalms 119:165 CSB (Did you know this is the longest Psalm in the Bible? New knowledge!) This verse is talking about God’s instruction. When we listen to God and learn and follow His word, we will have peace and a smoother life.
This week, go to school with excitement and anticipation for a wonderful year of gaining knowledge and wisdom, delighting in all that you learn and get participate in. Talk with your parents. Are you excited to take a new class, meet new friends, read new books? Enjoy the new school year and the path that is your life of learning and instruction.
Blessings as you go back to school this year with excitement for learning!
