Listen to counsel and receive instruction so that you may be wise later in life. Proverbs 19:20 CSB
Hold on to instruction; don’t let it go. Guard it, for it is your life.” Proverbs 4:13 CSB
Open my eyes so that I may contemplate wondrous things from your instruction. Psalms 119:1 CSB
The one who follows instruction is on the path to life, but the one who rejects correction goes astray. Proverbs 119:165 CSB

*A special note and apology. I just realized that this did not post last Monday. I’m sure it was my error. So, I am posting this today and another tomorrow. Heartfelt thanks as always for everyone who follows and reads my blog.
No matter where you are in your life, learning and instruction never end. With our “back-to-school” time of year, I want to share some verses on instruction. As adults we may not be in school anymore, but we are still learning. If you are raising young children, it is kind of a “learn as you go” lifestyle. If you are working on a career, you are gaining knowledge and experience. Even as an older adult there are new skills and knowledge to gain.
And as Proverbs tells us, “it is your life.” Part of our instruction, no matter our age, is acceptance of the Lord’s instruction and correction. “Instead, his delight is in the Lord’s instruction, and he meditates on it day and night.” Psalms1:2 CSB
I love to read a verse or part of the Bible that I have read before, but see new meaning, new application to my life, or even just a different wording that speaks to me. It is part of the purpose of this blog. To share these new interpretations of God’s word for our everyday lives. To give encouragement and ideas for a closer walk with our Lord.
This week remember all the times you have witnessed the Lord’s instruction in your life, all the times you’ve seen something new in a scripture you’ve read many times before, or even the nudging of the spirit to correct a wrong or speak to a certain person. Our Lord continues to instruct and guide us throughout this life. Listen to His counsel and receive instruction.
I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we continue to learn and follow the instruction of our Lord.
Blessings and wisdom!
