“Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant, is not rude, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5,7-8a CSB

Sunday is Mother’s Day! Mothers are love! I think that I really could end the post right there. Mothers love whole-heartedly, unconditionally. Some mothers are mom, some mama (many languages), some madre (Spanish), some maty (Ukrainian), and of course some are ma (many languages). But no matter what we call them, they are love.
Thank you to all mothers who love amazingly and show it every day! Mothers bless their families with their love and devotion.
This week, I first want to encourage all mothers that taking care of yourself and your relationship with the Lord is the most wonderful thing you can do for all those around you. Second, embrace Mother’s Day as a celebration of you and all you do. Enjoy the love!
I want to proclaim a blessing for mothers this week using the blessing from Moses in Deuteronomy 28.
Mothers –
Obey the Lord your God and all these blessings will come and overtake you.
You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
Your offspring will be blessed.
Your kitchen and pantry will be blessed.
You will be blessed when you come in and when you go out.
The Lord will grant you a blessing on your home and on everything you do.
Walk in the way of the Lord and all the peoples of the earth will see that you are the Lord’s.
The Lord will prosper you and bless the work of your hands.
I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we celebrate our mothers on Mother’s Day. We pray for each of them and pray Your blessings on every mother.
Blessings that “overtake” you!
