“Sing a new song to the LORD; let the whole earth sing to the LORD. Sing to the LORD, bless his name; proclaim his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his wondrous works among the peoples.” Psalms 96:1-3 CSV
Spring is one of my favorite seasons. I take my camera and my two dogs and go on a hike. I take pics of all the signs of spring, way too many. In spring the earth is singing a new song to the Lord.
Sing a New Song!
The bare tree branches are putting out tiny leaves that sing in the breeze.
The pine trees give off yellow pollen that drums the air with allergic sneezes.
The dogwoods and red buds flower, singing a new song that colors bring.
The maple trees release their fluttering seeds so that new trees can sing.
The waterfall rushes and thrums, keeping the rhythm and the song’s beat.
The small flowers along the bank add a melody that’s simple and sweet.
The ferns unfurl, their green song takes over the forest’s brown leaf floor.
The rhododendrons finish the hymn with cool shade over the creek shore.
This week go on a walk with your family and join the whole earth in singing a new song to the Lord. Thank Him for the spring song of His creation, the beauty and the wonder, the design and color. Share His wondrous works and His salvation. Sing a new song to the Lord.
Blessings and joy!
