Sing to the Lord!

“Sing a new song to the LORD; let the whole earth sing to the LORD. Sing to the LORD, bless his name; proclaim his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his wondrous works among the peoples.” Psalms 96:1-3 CSV

Spring is singing to the Lord! Let’s join in!

If you’ve read my blog for long, you know that I love being outside in God’s amazing creation. I love to take pictures, and this is my favorite time of year, spring. It’s been some crazy weather, warm and then cold, warm and then freezing, but finally spring is singing and coming to life in our little part of the earth.

The whole earth is singing to the Lord. The trees carry the melody; pines are growing new branches and needles, the oaks are leafing out in reds and greens, the dogwoods and red buds are flowering, and the rest of the trees are singing along. The waterfall keeps the rhythm, and the smaller plants are singing the harmony; the mountain laurel’s new leaves, the purple wild violets, the yellow of the Virginia creeper, the ferns unfurling, and wild blueberry bushes coming to life.

Let us join our voices with the earth’s and sing to the Lord. Let’s step outside and sing praise and thanks for the beauty and design, for the songs of spring, and for our Lord. Let’s bless His name and proclaim His salvation. Let’s share His glory and wondrous works with others. Let’s sing to the Lord.

This week, pick a warmer spring day and take your family out to listen to the earth sing to the Lord. And sing right along with all creation.

I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me as we all sing to the Lord and declare his glory to all.

Blessings and songs of thanksgiving!
