“But let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in You.” Psalms 5:11
We can sing for joy in the beautiful sunrise light of a brand new day! Thank You, God!
Even in these difficult times we face, we can rejoice and thank God for all the ways that He blesses us and our families, our communities and our country. Our verse this week tells us a couple of things; one, that the Lord is our protection our refuge (where we can go to feel safe) and, two, that because of this, we can sing for joy, we can choose to rejoice in our Lord.
Rejoice!
I can’t go to school and it’s so boring at home.
Thank You, God, for my friends who I can still talk to on the phone!
My dad now works from home in his study down the hall.
Thank You, God, for my dad, who is teaching me a curve ball!
My mom works at a hospital and stays at a hotel.
Thank You, God, for keeping her safe, and protecting us as well!
We can’t go to church or the park or the arcade.
Thank You, God, for church online, video games, and backyard play!
Life is harder. I miss my mom. I miss my friends and even school.
But God hears my prayers. He keeps us safe and loves us all. God is cool!
So join me now as I thank Him and praise Him and rejoice.
Sing “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands” with me, raise your voice!
Here’s a link to a You Tube Video. Enjoy and rejoice!
This week, make a list of all the things you can thank God for and rejoice in the Lord. Share it with your parents, maybe they can add what they are thankful for, too.
Blessings as we all rejoice in the Lord, our God!
