Have You Not Heard?

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary, and increases the power of the weak.” Isaiah 40:28-29

Isaiah was a prophet of God that lived a very long time ago. He told the people the words that God asked him to share. God’s people had strayed, they were not following their God, they had started to follow after other false gods. In this verse Isaiah is trying to get their attention. He is trying to remind them that God, their Father, is the only God, the creator of all.

I love to find God outside in His beautiful creation. So I went exploring and found God’s touch in lots of places!

Our God of Everything!

Our God is beauty – have you not seen the array of colorful blooming flowers?

Our God is living water – have you not heard the patter of cool spring showers?

Our God is gentle – have you not felt the soft, whispering breeze?

Our God is peace – have you not marveled at the quiet shades of green?

Our God is strength – have you not embraced the trunk of a mighty oak?

Our God is all-knowing – have you not seen all the world created when His spoke?

Our God is amazing love – have you not felt the joy of being His child?

Our God is saving grace – have you not been forgiven and reconciled?

This week, look at God’s spectacular creation. Where do find God, in a veined leaf, a dandelion, a bird’s feather? God created and designed it all. Enjoy God in His wonderful world. Share it with your parents and family. Talk about where each person sees God, a true treasure hunt!

Blessings as you discover the treasure of God in His creation!
