“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Psalms 4:8

The moon shines through the clouds and God’s promises shine into our lives.

When you feel safe, it comes from knowing that you are protected, that someone is taking care of you. Your parents take care of you. They give you a place to live, food to eat, get you where you need to go, give you advice and, of course, love you.

But the verse above tells us that the Lord also takes care of us. The Lord told us that we would have worries and troubles in this world, but He also gave us lots of promises in the Bible of how He would take care of us, protect us, and keep us safe.

My Safety With the Lord

The Lord says that no matter what happens His unfailing love for us will never be shaken.  Isaiah 54:10

The Lord goes before us and will never leave us. Deuteronomy 31:8

The Lord has plans to help us and give us hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

The Lord hears our prayers and requests. Mark 11:24

The Lord wants to give us the desires of our hearts. Psalms 37:4

The Lord says to trust in Him, and He will make our way straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

The Lord will strengthen us and help us and uphold us in His right hand.  Isaiah 41:10
