“I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.” Psalms 69:30 NIV
Thank You, God, for the beauty of Your creation. Pilot Mountain rising from the clouds.
Thanksgiving is coming fast whether we are ready or not. Where did the year go? The older I get the faster time seems to go by. (My grandmother used to tell me that and I didn’t believe her! I can hear her saying, “I told you so!”) And it always seems to zoom here at the end with Thanksgiving and then Christmas. But, let’s each take time to glorify our God with thanksgiving as family and friends gather and celebrate all the blessings we have to be thankful for and for the greatest gift of all time, the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
My journal is blooming with all the blessings of God’s love and grace. I hope yours is too. Let’s spend some time this busy holiday season to put aside the rushing, shopping, cooking, cleaning and worry. Let’s take Paul’s advice in Philippians.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of god, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Jesus Christ.” Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
Let’s reflect on all of our blessings, the evidences of God’s everlasting love and generous grace. Let’s glorify our God as we bring the sacrifice of thanksgiving and gratefully accept His peace “which transcends all understanding”. Let’s bring our songs and praises. Let’s glorify our amazing God.
I thank God for each of you. And I thank you for joining me this week as we praise our God for all His wonderful blessings and glorify His name.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Blessings as you enjoy your families and friends.
