“The whole earth is filled with awe at Your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, You call forth songs of joy.” Psalms 65:8 NIV
Creation is full of God’s marvelous wonders! You already know that I love to take pictures of sunrises and sunsets, and all other aspects of our beautiful created world. Or at least my little part of it. I stand in awe of all that God has imagined and designed and created for all of us to enjoy.
This verse just touched my heart today when I read it. It inspired me and I could feel the joy of the Psalmist. I hope you, too, will find awe and joy in God’s earth.
Morning dawns. In the midst of the growing light, hues of peach and red and purple burst forth with joy, painting the sky, the clouds, and singing praise to God.
The fall day swells. The bright light catches a doe and her adolescent fawn burrowing noses into a rainbow of discarded leaves, discovering acorn delights, and thanking the Creator for His provision.
The autumn day progresses and warms. Squirrels chase each other up and around leafless tree trunks, laughing and chattering their joy of life.
Evening approaches. The sun fades toward the horizon, as wispy clouds explode with color, oranges and purples, reds and grays, crooning the sunset song to the Lord.
The sun disappears below the earth’s curve. The man and woman stay to witness the white crescent moon’s slow rise as it chases the sun’s reflection; their hearts chant the joy of the moment for God and His wonders.
The night has come. The lingering breeze whispers the finale as the earth says its good night prayers and praises for the Most-High God.
This week stand in awe of God and all the wonders of His creation. Find your joy and add your own voice to the songs of praise for the Creator.
I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week to share the awe and joy in our God’s most wonderful and magnificent creation.
Blessings as you step into joy!
