God’s first created gift was light! My most wonderful times of the day are sunrise and sunset! The glorious colors of a sunrise let us know that God is alive and well in this often times troubled world of ours! I love to sit and watch as the sun slowly rises. The building light allows me to feel close to God!

Every morning is a different color show for us to enjoy and to thank God for a new day and a new start. No matter how badly we messed up our yesterday! God forgives us and shines the morning light into our lives so that we can start afresh!

Sunsets allow for a time of rest and reflection. And another opportunity to thank God for a wonderful day! We thank Him for safety, for accomplishments, for peace, for our children, for our lives, and even for the challenges of the day. I love to sit with my family and watch the sun setting and the darkening of the day to night. The moon and stars begin to come out; we always try to be the first one to spot a star.

Take time today to sit with God and watch the sunrise or the sunset. Stop and enjoy the time spent in awe of God and of God’s awesome creation!
