“Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.” Genesis 1:3–4 (NKJV)

God created the whole world. And at His spoken word, light slashed across the darkness! I can see God in the beautiful light he created. The dark can be scary sometimes, but the light God created chases the scary away. We wake up in the morning to a beautiful sunrise that God has given us. And each one is new and different!

I can see God in the bright, beautiful light,

That wakes me gently after the dark, quiet night.

And in the light of day God’s creation shines,

I step out of my house to search for the signs.

The glimpses of God, in the world that He’s made,

Bring joy and smiles as I explore unafraid!
