“Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.” Jonah 1:17 (NKJV)

“Go!” God told Jonah, “Go to Nineveh and preach!”

But Jonah ran from God’s order, out of God’s reach.

Jonah hopped on a ship to a faraway town!

But God sent a great storm and all feared they would drown.

Jonah told the crew he was running from the Lord.

And to calm the sea, he had to go overboard!

God sent a huge fish to save Jonah, which gulped him up!

Jonah cried out to God and praised him with worship!

At God’s word the fish spat Jonah onto the beach!

Jonah obeyed God and went to Nineveh to preach.

God looks after all of us, and loves us, and cares what happens to us!
