Praise the Lord!

Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens! Praise him from the skies! Let every created thing give praise to the LORD, for he issued his command, and they came into being. Praise the LORD from the earth, you creatures of the ocean depths. Let them all praise the name of the LORD, for his name is very great: his glory towers over the earth and heaven! Psalms 148:1,5,7,13 NLT

A very small portion of God’s amazing and glorious creation!

All of Psalm 148 calls on the whole of creation to praise the Lord, to praise His name, which alone is exalted. The Greek word translated as praise means to sing or to tell. The Hebrew word translated as praise means to shine or to glorify.

Praise the LORD!

The angels sing, heavenly choruses ring, the angel armies give glory.

The sun shines, the moon reflects, and the stars glimmer the story.

The oceans swell, rivers rush, and waterfalls worship with sound.

The storm clouds grow, lightning flashes, and thunderclaps resound.

The winds whisper His name, the whales sing their sonic hymn.

The mountains and hills rise up and look only toward Him.

The cedar trees sway, flowers bloom, and grasses bow down.

The lions roar, cattle low, birds chirp, animal praises abound.

The kings defer, princes pray, and judges honor His laws.

The people, men and women, young and old worship and pause.

All of creation offers praise and worship to the LORD of heaven and earth.

Because it is God who has endowed every created thing with its inherent worth.

This week let’s take time to join in the praise and worship of our Lord who’s “glory covers the heaven and the earth.” Let’s sing, tell of Him, shine, and glorify His name. How can you praise the LORD?

I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we offer praise and worship to our LORD along with all of creation.

Blessings and praise, worship, and honor!
