Celebrate Your Mom!

Her mouth speaks wisdom, and loving instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the activities of her household and is never idle. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also praises her. Proverbs 31: 26-28 CSB

It [love] bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. 1 Corinthians 13:7-8a

Today is Mother’s Day! Today is the day we let our moms know just how special they are to us. What are you doing for your mom today? Making her breakfast with dad’s help? Picking her some flowers? Helping her with a chore? Or maybe just giving her lots of hugs and kisses to show her how much you love her?

My son always gives me a special gift on Mother’s Day. He gives me a handwritten card that he makes just for me. This year he gave me another beautifully sweet, handwritten card, and he is now twenty-eight years old! No matter how old you are, your mom is still your mom and always will be.

Our verses tell us that our moms are wise and that they lovingly teach us what we need to know as we grow up. Our moms work hard at work and around our home. We should praise her for all she does because our moms are love! Our moms loved us even before we were born. When God was still forming us and creating us, our moms loved us before they even saw us. That’s some powerful love!

Today celebrate your mom. Thank her for all she does for you, for her never ending love, for teaching you, for encouraging and believing in you, and for being there for you. Make her a card or draw her a picture of your favorite thing to do with your mom. And remember that your mom is your mom not just today, but every day. You can celebrate your mom each day! She would love it!

Blessings and joy for you and your mom on Mother’s Day!
