God’s Plan

I want their hearts to be encouraged and joined together in love, so that they may have all the riches of complete understanding and have the knowledge of God’s mystery – Christ. In him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3 CSB

One of my favorite paths to walk and talk with God.

The Bible is God’s story. In Genesis, in the beginning, God created all things. The sky, the earth, the seas, the plants and animals, and finally humans, created in His own image. Adam and Eve walked with God in the Garden of Eden and talked with God. But when they disobeyed God’s command, they had to leave the garden. They could no longer walk and talk with God.

But God always had a plan to bring us, all humans, close to Him again.  Paul tells us that God’s plan was a “mystery,” which means hard or impossible to understand. The Old Testament is full of prophecies and clues that point to Jesus; from where He would be born, to how He would die for our sins, and many more. And as Paul tells the church in Colossae, Jesus is God’s plan.

When we understand that Jesus is the only way to be close to God, we can be encouraged in our faith and join together with other believers in the love of Jesus. Jesus even told us, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 CSB

Because of Jesus, we can talk directly to God! And God has promised to always be with us. God walks with us through our lives; He rejoices with us in good times and strengthens us in the hard times.

This week, thank God for His plan to bring us closer to Him. Thank Him for Jesus – God’s mystery, God’s plan. And talk and walk with God and enjoy being close to Him.

Blessings and joy as you walk and talk with God!
