The Earth Is Full of God’s Glory!

And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” Isaiah 6:3 NIV

A beautiful morning sky after the thunder strorms from the afternoon before. The glory of God is seen in the beauty of His creation.

This week we are going to explore God’s glory and how all the earth, all of creation shows the beauty and power and greatness of God, the Creator. We have been having afternoon thunderstorms because it’s been so hot; the lightning flashes, the thunder booms, and the rain pours down and drenches the earth.

The next morning the dogs and I head out into the woods and search for the glory of God in His created world. And this is going to sound a bit odd, but I love to take pictures of toadstools. They pop up everywhere after a pouring rain. I would almost say they “bloom.” There is a special beauty in the colors and shapes and sizes. And all the different ones that appear in even a short walk is amazing. God created so many different ones.

Think for just a minute, all the different kinds of plants, all the different kinds of animals, even all the different kinds of just dogs, different types of rocks, and different peoples. God created so many things and each is beautiful in that it shows the glory of God. You show the glory of God because you are His special creation!

Just a few of the toadstools we found on our walk. Have you ever seen a blue one?

Every plant has a different shaped leaf. Can you see God’s glory in the beauty of plants?

This week, go on your own walk and search for the beauty and power of God the Creator (it doesn’t have to be toadstools!). Take your parents and your family and count the things you see that show God’s beauty, His power or even the diversity (the variety) of His wonderful creation. Think, too, about the diversity of people. Each one is a unique creation, just like you!

Blessings and joy as you find God’s glory in all the created earth!
