Celebrate Your Dad!

“Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant, is not rude, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. 1 Corinthians 13:4-5,7-8a CSB

My son and his dad on Father’s Day a few years ago. The dogs had to celebrate, too.

I know it’s only Monday, but next Sunday is Father’s Day! So, I am giving you almost a whole week to get ready to celebrate your dad on Father’s Day. You can make him a card, or cook him breakfast (with mom’s help), or write him a story, or draw him a picture, or just give him lots of hugs and kisses to let him know how much you love and appreciate him. Because you know that he loves you always. Dads shine the love of our Father God’s love for us!

Celebrate Dads!

To dads who love us for who we are and who we can be.

To dads who teach us to play sports and to play fairly.

To dads who show us how things work and how to fix them.

To dads who encourage us to always do our best.

To dads who make us laugh with silly jokes and funny faces.

To dads who read us bedtime stories and tuck us in.

To dads who raise us up and carry us on their shoulders.

To dads who model God’s love and love us endlessly.

To all our dads – Happy Father’s Day!

This week talk with your mom and your brothers and sisters (if you have) and make plans to celebrate your dad on Father’s Day.

Blessings and love as you celebrate your dad with love!

*A special note: I have written some Father’s Day poems for our church kids to give to their dads. I am having trouble putting in the links today. I am definitely not computer saavy! I will try to attach below and you can download. Sorry for the inconvenience.
