Happy Easter! I know that I am posting early, but I cannot wait until Monday, because today we celebrate Easter, Resurrection Sunday. Yes, it’s true, Jesus is alive. He arose from the dead after His crucifixion and burial just as He said He would. Celebrate! We rejoice at Easter because Jesus rose from the dead to forgive and save all who believe in Him.

What other kinds of things do you do to celebrate Easter? Do you hide eggs? Eat a chocolate bunny? Get a basket with fake green grass and goodies? All of these, eggs, bunnies, grass remind us of new life. They remind us of our new life in Jesus! Because Jesus is alive, because He rose from the dead, we can celebrate our life with Jesus.

Because Jesus Is Alive!

I can dance with joyful freedom.

I can love people like He does.

I can accept His forgiveness.

I can be saved by faith in Him.

I can feel the peace of knowing Him.

I can be sure of my hope for heaven.

I can look forward to my future.

I can pray to Father God and to Jesus.

I can never be alone; His Spirit is with me.

I can shine Jesus for others to see Him.

I can share all that Jesus has done for me with others.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 NKJV

Today and this week, celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus. Talk to your parents about all the things you can do to thank Jesus for dying for you and me, and everyone. Draw an Easter picture or sing a song or dance or just say a thankful prayer. But embrace the day with the Easter joy of a risen Savior, Jesus!
