He Is Risen!

“The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” Matthew 28:5-6 NIV

Happy Easter morning! A beautiful sunrise to start our celebration of Resurrection Sunday!

Happy Easter! Thanks for joining me this week as our sorrow from Good Friday is replaced by the celebration and hope of our Risen Savior! I know I am posting a day early, but I have to share the joy of Easter today.

During Holy Week we went from the celebration of Palm Sunday to the sorrow of the crucifixion and burial. But today, Easter, Resurrection Sunday, we are able to return to joyous celebration, the ultimate celebration, because Jesus paid the price for each of us. He is Risen!

He Is Risen!

…so I can believe and be saved.

…so I can be forgiven and in turn forgive.

…so I can share in His peace and joy.

…so I can never be alone for He is with me.

…so I can know that all things work for my good.

…so I can talk directly to Father God and Jesus.

…so I can be assured of my home in heaven.

…so I can live my life in His love and service.

…so I can share the Good News of all He has done.

…so “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 NKJV

Today, this week, let’s just bask in the love that Jesus has for each of us. He willingly left heaven, was born and lived as a human, and endured a torturous death on the cross, putting God’s plan into action. He did it all to offer salvation and forgiveness to a fallen world, to us. Rejoice and celebrate!

I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we celebrate Easter, Resurrection Sunday, with joy and thanksgiving.

Blessings and celebration!
