Finding God

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” Romans 1:20 NIV

The first daffodils pushing up through the leaves on the forest floor near an old homestead.

I have always been able to find God in His marvelously created world. I feel joy in being outside in creation. I love to observe the details of His handiwork. I embrace the variety and the purpose. I absorb the peace and the warmth. Take a break! Come along with me today and let’s explore. Let’s find God together.

Finding God

God is in the dark of night, in the shining stars of a velvet sky, in the faint moonlight.

God is in the bright light of day, in the warming rays of the sun, in the blue clear skies.

God is in the white puffy clouds, in the eagle’s wings, in the tall pines swaying in the wind.

God is in the greens of grasses, in the reds of fall leaves, in the browns of bark and earth.

God is in the yellow of a daffodil, the blue of a jay, the purple of lilac and lavender.

God is in the laugh of the hyena, in the roar of the lion, in the trumpet of the elephant.

God is in the speed of the cheetah, in the crawl of the turtle, in the splash of the whale.

God is in the depth of the seas, in the width of the world, in the height of the heavens.

God is in people, in parents and kids, in brothers and sisters, in friends and workmates.

God is in every single unique and wonderful creation, in everything, in every person, in you!

This week take some time to step out into God’s most amazing creation. Step out with a friend, a spouse, or a parent or child.  Be still, use your senses, where do you find God? Share with your companion as you each find God in His created world.

I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me as we find God in His most wonderful creation.

Blessings and peace!
