“My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.” Psalms 145:21 NIV
“All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing the praises of your name.” Psalms 66:4 NIV
Many of the Psalms are songs of praise to our Lord, to our Creator and all He has created. If you’ve read some of my blogs, you know that the created world and its wonderful Creator are some of my favorite topics. And even with the ice storms, whirling snow, winter cold, and the continuing pandemic, God’s creation still praises His name.
I praise the Lord for the shelter He has provided, for the luxuries of warmth and protection. My mouth tells the stories of past blessings, family and children, careers and talents, friends and life. My voice sings songs of worship and laud. My laughter embraces His goodness. My thanks pay grateful homage. I write in praise of the Lord!
All Creation Sings in Praise of the Lord
The mountains tower and endure, praising the Lord’s power.
The clouds billow and swell, praising the Lord with a shower.
The trees sway, sing in the wind, praising the Lord with dance.
The sun rises bright, praising the Lord across the sky’s expanse.
The deer snuffles the snow, praising the Lord for the acorns found.
The tiny chickadee flitting down, praising the Lord that seeds abound.
The black bear snoozes, praising the Lord for a cozy, snuggled den.
The coyotes’ howling, praising the Lord for the rise of the moon again.
This week, let’s all find the time to offer our praises to the Lord. Praise Him with songs or joyful shouts, with quiet prayer, with laughter, with words, with poetry, with psalms. It doesn’t really matter how we praise Him, just that we do.
I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we sing in praise of the Lord.
Blessings and praises!
