Want to start your day off the right way? Meet the Lord in the morning. Step out in God’s beautiful created world and look around. Good morning, Lord. Thank you for the sunlight and the bluebird singing me a song. Thank you for the trees waving hello and the squirrel chattering. Thank you for the park welcoming all the kids in our neighborhood.

Can you feel God’s unfailing love for you? He is all around you in the world He created. We just have to look for Him.

Begin by thanking God for all that He has created (including you!) and then whisper a prayer for His love and help throughout your new day. When we trust that God is with us and for us, we can face our day with peace and strength. We can take Him with us as we face the day.

This week, first step out into God’s beautiful world. Draw a picture of where you found the Lord in His creation. Your mom’s smile, your dad’s laugh, your best friend, or a dog’s slurpy kiss, a tree’s cool shade, a pond to swim in. Share your picture with someone.

Then, try to begin each day this week with the Lord. See God’s love in new places, new faces, new creations. Thank God for all the ways He has blessed you. But most importantly after you say, “Good morning, Lord!” take Him with you on your journey through each new day.
