“The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”” Jeremiah 31:3 NIV
After the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas; with decorating, wrapping gifts, and visits from family and friends, January always seems like a bit of a letdown. The cold gray days, bare trees, quieter homes, and less social time can be difficult and lonely.
As I was reading this morning, I came across this verse in Jeremiah. And as I read and re-read it, I realized it was just the message I needed. So today I want to remind all of us, you and me, that we are still a part of the greatest love story ever told!
You Are Loved!
God loves you with an everlasting love.
God knew you, before you were even born.
God designed you with unfailing kindness.
God created you to be uniquely you and loved by Him.
God adorns the flowers of the field with color and beauty.
God clothes the animals in spots and stripes and velvety fur.
God weights the trees with apples, pears, and peaches.
God loves you so very much more than all of these!
God created it all for you as a witness to His love.
God loves you so much He sacrificed His Son.
God gifted you an empty space that only He can fill.
God desires you; your praise, your worship, your love.
Recognize God’s everlasting, unfailing, deep love for you.
Accept His love and the sacrifice of His only Son.
Embrace His grace and mercy and total forgiveness.
Live who you are, a precious child of the Most High God!
This week recognize, accept and embrace that you are loved by our amazing God. Live for Him and let His saving love shine through you.
I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we bask in the love of our God as His sons and daughters.
Blessings and love!!
