God’s “Still Small Voice”

“Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake, and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice.” I Kings 19:11-12 NKJV

God Speaks

God requests our attention with the soft color and wonderful beauty of an early morning sunrise.

God whispers His love in the soft, gentle breeze that bends the grass and touches our cheek.

God conveys His design in the intricate, delicate patterns of autumn leaves and spring flowers.

God murmurs His care for us in the sparkling, splashing, cool water of a natural spring fount.

God declares our value in the amazing array of bone, muscle, flesh and soul created in His image.

God expresses His desire for a relationship with us in brilliant blue heavens and starlit skies.

God articulates His plans for us in the wide variety of people He introduces into our lives.

God speaks to us every day in a still small voice in all of his magnificent created world.

This week let’s step out into creation and listen to God’s “still small voice” declaring His promises for us in His wonderful world.

I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we listen for God’s “still small voice” all around us.

Blessings!
