God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:8,10 NLT
Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. Romans 3:24 NLT

Our first verse, was written by Paul in a letter to the church at Ephesus. Paul explains that we are saved by God’s grace when we believe in God and Jesus. We can’t work for it or earn it on our own; it is a gift from God. Our past sins are forgiven and forgotten because Jesus died on the cross for everyone’s sin. With God’s grace, He now sees us as righteous, just like His Son, Jesus!
When Adam and Eve sinned, they were separated from God. God still loved them just as He loves us. God wants to be close to all mankind and so He gifts us with grace, with His favor, God chooses to bless and do good for us.
With our faith in all that Jesus did for us, we are made new. Now, God doesn’t look at us and see all the bad things we’ve done in the past. God now sees us as new. He sees us just as He sees Jesus, as righteous, as sinless. God chooses to see us like Jesus simply because we believe in God and Jesus. God’s grace sets us free from sin.
That doesn’t mean that we will never sin again, because we all will as human beings; me, you, your mom and dad, your pastor, your friends, and the list goes on to include everyone. But because of God’s grace and forgiveness, and Jesus making us new, God sees us only as His righteous, sinless children.
This week, talk to your parents about God’s gift of grace. God’s grace loves us and forgives our sins. Grace helps us to be confident and strong in our faith. Grace saves us. Grace blesses us. God’s grace sees us as righteous and as His children! And don’t forget to thank God for His amazing grace.
Blessings and God’s grace on your life!
