See God’s Glory in Creation!

For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the LORD. Habakkuk 2:14 NLT

Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens! May your glory shine over all the earth. Psalm 57:5 NLT

Even though this looks like a fall picture, it was taken in April! In early spring the leaves come out their normal
color, but the longer days and warmer weather cause the leaves to produce chlorophyll which makes the leaves green!

Our verses for today tell us that the glory of God fills the earth. God’s glory is the beauty and power and goodness of who God is. Think of the beauty in flowers, your mom’s face, the sunrise sky, or your friends smile. All good things come from God.

Join me on a “walk” through God’s wonderful creation. As we walk, let’s look at all of the ways that creation shines His glory. I walk some every day because I have three big dogs who love to walk, too. I always take my phone or my camera to snap a picture of whatever catches my eye, whatever shows God’s glory. These are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.

Blackberry blooms that will become blackberries!
Red maple tree leaves unfurl.
Rododendron bloom.
Sunflower blooms bright.
Dogwood tree blooming.
Early spring daffodils.
A very shy box turtle.
A salamander finding his way.
Two curious deer.
A blue heron in flight.
A snail crawling near the pond.
The dogs resting after their walk.
A beautiful sunrise to start the day!
A curious squirrel visiting.
A fern growing on a rock!
Peaches growing.
A rainbow, God’s promise.
A glorious sunset to finish your day!

This week, take your mom, dad, or friends and go on a creation walk. Get permission first. Even in the city you can find plants and animals created by God. What do you see that shines the glory of God in His creation? Make a list or take pictures so that you can share with others. Thanks for letting me share my small part of creation with you.

And don’t forget that one of the most amazing of God’s creations is YOU! Look in the mirror, you are wonderfully unique and glorious.
