“May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you peace.” Whenever Aaron and his sons bless my people of Israel in my name, I myself will bless them. Numbers 6:24-27

This is a blessing from the Old Testament. It is how God told the church leaders, Aaron and his sons, to bless His people the Israelites, God’s children. And you are a child of God also and you are also blessed! The Lord shows you love and favor. He keeps you safe and close to Him. He showers you with mercy and grace. And He gives you peace.
Think of some of the ways God has already blessed you, like great parents and super friends and a fun church. What other ways have you been blessed? Do you have a special gift or talent? God takes good care of us and wants us to be close to Him. He wants us to enjoy our lives. God blesses us!
We want to be a blessing to others because God has blessed us so much! We want others to know how awesome God is. Jesus tells us, “In the same way, let your good deeds shine our for all the see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:16 NLT So by doing good deeds for others, shining our light and blessing them, God will get the glory!
This week talk to your parents about all the ways you and your family are blessed. And because we are blessed, we want to share God with others. How could you be a blessing to someone?
Be a Blessing Every Day
Sunday – I smiled and walked Mrs. Henry down the aisle to her favorite seat in the pew.
Monday – I scooted over for the new kid to sit with me on the bus; he was scared, I knew.
Tuesday – I drew a happy picture for my mom because she was feeling a bit sad today.
Wednesday – I clapped and cheered for my little sister when she did her dance in ballet.
Thursday – I volunteered to help my teacher by cleaning desks before Easter break.
Friday – I walked the dog for my dad so he could finish making our dinner, pancakes!
Saturday – I prayed for my family and friends and then thanked God for all my blessings and that now I can be a blessing.
This week, try to be a blessing to someone each day. You can do a chore, or make something, or draw a picture, or be a friend, or be a good listener, or just be kind. When you bless others, you give glory to God in heaven!
Blessings and joy as you bless others!
