The Glory of God Speaks

The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. Psalm 19:1-2 ESV

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth! Psalm 57:11 ESV

A beautiful sunrise in God’s amazing creation!

God’s glorious creation speaks to us about Him. Paul tells us in Romans 1:20 that God’s “invisible attributes” can be clearly seen in the things that God has made and should be plain to us. So that we are “without excuse.”

God’s Creation Speaks

The sun rises in all of its colorful array,

Thanking God for His gift, a bright new day.

Flowers tilt their blooms, to follow the light,

Displaying God’s beauty for our delight.

Clouds float gently in the calm, blue sky,

Whispering to us to see God’s protective eye.

The rain pours, dewy toadstools break through,

Cheering God’s creation plan to always renew.

The robin sings and the hummingbird thrums,

Praising God for His provision that daily comes.

The mountains stand strong with shadows casting,

Communicating that God’s love for us is everlasting.

This week take time to step out into God’s amazing creation. Look and see God and His glorious handiwork, listen to it speak to you, and embrace the glory of our God in His wonderful creation.

Blessings and joy discovering God in His creation!

  1. One thing I loved so much about my nature photography days was the sense of being one with nature, fitting in, finding my place in the universe. I’m sure you know exactly what I mean. Nature photography was the joy that counterbalanced my depression and sorrow (particularly my dark poetry). Nature heals a broken soul like nothing else can. Your poetry (here, and in the children’s post) is wonderful and conveys the glory of God in the natural world so effectively. You’re a brilliant writer, Peggy–gifted beyond measure. Enjoy your week, my friend. 😊

    • Thank you, Mike! You don’t know how much I appreciate you. You keep me writing, my friend, with your comments and your encouragement! I, too, love to be out in nature, God’s amazing creation. Nothing like it to turn a rough day around or calm your anxiety. Or just have peace!

From Everlasting to Everlasting. Peggy, I absolutely enjoyed this poem. I have saved it to use for my meditation and devotional this morning. It resonates with sacred awe. So beautifully penned. God bless you for sharing this inspired piece, my dear.
I gotta send to my sister’s in TT, lol. It’s so good.
