Celebrate Your Mom on Mother’s Day!

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a ESV

She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also praises her. Proverbs 31:26,28 ESV

Beautiful flowers for Mother’s Day!

Today is Mother’s Day! It is a day where we take time to appreciate and thank our moms for all they do for us. If you haven’t told your mom, “Happy Mother’s Day” yet, go and tell her now and give her a big hug!

If you don’t have a mom to celebrate today, I am so sorry. But you can celebrate the person who loves you and cares for you, like your dad or your grandmother or someone else.

Our first verses for today are all about love. The moms and the other people that love you, are patient and kind, they encourage you when you do the right thing, they have hope for your future, and they believe in you and take care of you. They even love you when you don’t do what you should. They may not always like what you did but they still love you. Just like God will always love you.

Our second verses tell us that moms, and those that love us, teach us. They are wise, which means they have learned a lot and can give us good advice. They can teach us kindness for others. And because they love us, we can learn to love others.

Make today a special day, do something nice for your mom or the other ones that love you. You can draw a picture or make them a card and write in it all the things you love about them! You can write a poem about your mom. You can, with help from dad or someone else, make your mom a special breakfast.

Today, make your mom, or the one who loves you, feel special and loved.

Blessings and joy, hope and love as you celebrate Mother’s Day!
