Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19 & 20b ESV
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Romans 10:9-10 ESV
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold the new has come. 2 Corinthians 2:17 ESV

As Christians, followers and disciples of Jesus Christ, it is our calling to share the good news; that Jesus died and rose from the dead so that we may be set free from sin and enjoy a relationship with Him and the Father. A disciple is defined as one who is a follower, of a leader or teacher, who accepts and assists in spreading their beliefs, principles, and instructions. That’s us!
Although I understand that many who read this Christian blog may already be followers and disciples of Jesus, I felt a strong conviction this week to share the Good News. I pray that if you are not a follower and disciple of Jesus that you are touched and encouraged to accept Him in faith and trust and become a “new creation.” If you are already a disciple of Jesus, I pray you are encouraged and emboldened to share the Good News with someone else. Blessings to all!
In the Old Testament God gave rules and guidelines for living a healthy and good life in order to stay close to God. However, Paul reminds us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23. Beginning with Adam and Eve to the present day. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 In the old covenant, the Law, the blood of animal sacrifices was required for forgiveness of sins.
In the New Testament, Jesus, the Son of God, born as a man, comes on the scene. He establishes a new covenant. Jesus says that the kingdom of heaven is at hand, is here! Jesus teaches love and compassion for others. He has two commandments, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus was the final sacrifice. His death on the cross atoned for all sins, once and for all. And His resurrection proved He was the Son of God, and that He had conquered death, for all of us. This new covenant does not require good works or penance to be saved and to be called a child of God. Salvation only requires a heart that believes and repents, and a mouth that confesses Him Lord. When God looks at us, He doesn’t see our sin, He sees only the righteousness of His Son, Jesus, who took our place. And this is the Good News we want to share with everyone!
I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we share the Good News of Jesus, becoming new creations in Him.
Blessings and faith my friends!
Amen, Peggy 🙏 have a blessed week ahead ❤️

This year marks my 50th anniversary since that day when eleven-year-old Mike dropped to his knees and started this journey. I struggle immensely with so many things, but I still have hope that a better place awaits me. This is an important message, Peggy, especially in this day and age, where so much darkness exists. Keep shining the light, my friend. 😊🕯️

Hope is what keeps us all going! Thanks, Mike, for your kindness, support and encouragement!
I was fourteen when I became a child of God and began my journey. It hasn’t always been easy, but He is always with me and hope remains. Blessings, Mike!

Being a disciple has been a challenge. I think institutions have complicated it even further with dogmas and doctrines..as Jesus said, in vain do they worship me, keep for doctrine the traditions of men.
Jesus came to set the captives free, and we seldom choose to live in that liberty. I admit that I struggle to appease the mob sometimes, as my heart is drawn more and more toward being a true disciple.
Sharing the good news of the gospel is always a good thing.. meeting people where they’re at. That’s was the master’s way.
