Our verses for today remind us that God is good. He takes care of every creature, including you and me! The verses also remind us that we are to give thanks to God for all that He does for us. One of my favorite parts is that God’s strong hand and outstretched arm are always there to help us. Did you ever trip and fall down? Did your mom or dad stretch out their arm and give you a hand up? God does that for us, too!

But the best reminder in our verses is that God’s “faithful love endures forever.” No matter what we do or how many times we mess up, God still loves us. And He loves us forever! The Psalmist (the person who wrote our verses) reminds us of this 26 times! He doesn’t want us to forget that God’s love is faithful and endures forever. Doesn’t it help to know you are loved that much?

This week I have a special challenge for you. I want you to talk with your parents. Together can you think of at least five ways that God has shown you and your family His faithful love that endures forever. Now, I want you to become a Psalmist and write your own Psalm. We can use the pattern that our Psalmist used. First, he tells of something wonderful God did. And then he adds the last part. You can use the same one he used or make up one of your own that says how awesome God’s love is.

An example:  God healed my mom when she was sick. God’s great love lasts forever.

                      God always hears my prayers. God’s great love lasts forever.

                      Thank You, God for all you do for my family. Your great love lasts forever.

After you have written your Psalm, don’t forget to share it with others so they can be reminded to thank the Lord for all He has done and for His love that lasts forever.
