The Lord Is Our Strength

Though the fig tree does not bud and there is no fruit on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though the flocks disappear from the pen and there are no herds in the stalls, yet I will celebrate in the LORD; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation! The LORD my Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like those of a deer and enables me to walk on mountain heights! Habakkuk 3:17-19

When we have troubles, God can strengthen us and lift us up to “mountain heights!”

Ever have those days or even weeks where nothing seems to go right, or everything seems to be so much harder than it should be? This has been one of those weeks! But in my daily Bible plan, I was reading Habakkuk. I’m thankful to the Lord because He always seems to send me the message that I need most when I am in His word.

Even when everything seems lost, as in Habakkuk’s verses for today, we still have the Lord. He is our salvation, our strength, our confidence and the One we can trust to lift us up when we falter. God is our “go to!” God never leaves us, even when our lives seem chaotic and difficult. He is walking with us, helping us to get through today and every day.

He is our joy in sorrow.

He is our strength in weakness.

He is our salvation in despair.

He lifts us up to the mountain top when we are low.

He is our refuge in troubles.

He is our God! Rejoice!

This week, lean into the Lord and accept his salvation, strength, comfort, joy, protection, and love. Let Him help you bear all that you have to do and all you have to be for others. Let the Lord be your refuge and strength.

I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we go to our God for strength and refuge.

Blessings and strength in the Lord!
