Praise the Lord Today!

“Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars. Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies. Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were created.” Psalms 148:3-5 NIV

“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.” Psalms 150:6 NIV

A sunrise lit cloud reflecting the beauty of the Creator.

The Psalms are full of praises to our God and our Lord. Let’s join our voices with all of the earth to sing praises to His name!

 A Day of Praise

The sun slowly rises, light spreads, growing, then bursts through the clouds in warm hues.

The morning light calls every created thing to praise its Maker, our God, worship is His due.

The varied birds begin the chorus with tweets, chirps, coos and caws. Melodies abound.

The breeze sings through the treetops and the green leaves dance and flutter with sound.

The flowers open their petals to the light, reflecting the beauty of the Creator, the One and Only.

The tall grasses sway and bow down, acknowledging the God of the earth for He is holy.

The mountains and rocky peaks stretch up to the sky embracing their post close to the Lord.

The ocean waves rush in and out, slapping the shore and praising the One that they adore.

The moon rises in the still light sky, signaling the coming night, applauding God on high.

The stars begin to appear in the twilight and sparkle and shine, God’s glory to amplify.

The whippoorwill shouts his evening call to celebrate the Creator and acclaim His might.

The people of the earth rest, lifting up hymns and prayers of praise to our God of light.

This week take some time to praise our God most wonderful for all that He has done. Sing a song, journal your praise, celebrate the work of His hands, give thanks for your blessings, or just let the worship flow from your heart. Offer praise and receive His peace and joy and love.

I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we praise our Creator, our Comforter, our God, our Savior, our mighty Lord.

Blessings and praises!
