“The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting, “Hosanna!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” Blessed is the king of Israel!” John 12:12-13 NIV
This coming Sunday is Palm Sunday! It is difficult to grasp that we will not be celebrating in crowded churches with singing and praise. But we will still choose to celebrate the coming of the Messiah, the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. The prophecies fulfilled. The coming sacrifice of the Lamb of God for us, you and me! Hosanna!
This week before Palm Sunday, as we celebrate Jesus coming triumphantly into Jerusalem, let’s also invite Jesus to come into our lives.
Demonstrating His love,
Living with us and within us,
Giving us access to God the Father,
Carrying our burdens,
Granting us peace,
Teaching us truth,
Interceding for us,
Praying for us,
Encouraging us to be fruitful,
Lighting our path,
Loving us unconditionally!
This week let’s all ask Jesus to come triumphantly into our lives and work through us. As we pray for our neighbors in the world, our country, our states, our communities and our families, let’s ask Jesus to come with us.
I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we anticipate Palm Sunday and the triumph of Jesus coming for all of us.
