“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” Luke 2:7 NKJV
Jesus is the light of the world. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5 NIV
Merry Christmas! This week I want you to enjoy your family and friends as you celebrate Jesus’ birthday.
Just remember, with all the presents, special meals and sweet treats, that Christmas is really all about Jesus. God’s Son left heaven and came joyfully and willingly to earth to be born as a baby and to die for our sins. Jesus offers each and every person the opportunity to be saved and to be called a child of God and to live with Him in heaven one day.
In your celebrations try to share the story of Jesus’ birth from the Bible (Luke, chapter 2). Read it with your parents or grandparents or cousins. And remember to thank God for the greatest gift ever given, Jesus!
Blessings for you and your family this Christmas!
