Praise God for Spring!

“For as the earth brings forth its bud, As the garden causes the things that are sown to in it to spring forth, So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.” Isaiah 61:11

Budding Trees

The trees are budding, spring is coming!

Where I live spring is coming fast. The weather is a little warmer and the trees are budding out, the daffodils have bloomed, the grass is getting greener, and we have started planting in our garden. All signs that spring is coming!

God created the whole entire amazing natural world. Did you know…

There are millions of different animals?

About 18,000 different birds?

About 1,000,000 different sea creatures? And scientists don’t even know them all!

About 100,000 different bugs?

About 400,000 different flowering plants?

About 60,000 different trees?

About 16,000 different mushrooms?

About 14,000 different amphibians and reptiles?

The Bible verse above tells us that just like the earth brings forth buds and plants, so the Lord will cause praise to spring forth. As we enjoy God’s wonderful and beautiful creation, our praises for God and his handiwork spring forth.

Thank You, God, for all the signs of spring, the increasing light and warmth of the sun, the flowers that bloom, the birds that sing, the plants that grow and seed, the trees that bud into leaf, and thank You that I can go outside and explore Your world and praise you for it. God, You are good all the time!

This week spend some time outside. How many of God’s creatures and plants can you count? Pick something that you love about God’s creation and draw a picture as your praise to God. Show your picture with your parents, your friends and your family and share with them how wonderful God is.

If you want to share your picture with everyone, ask your parents to send it by email or Facebook messenger and I will post it on the Kids Gallery page.

Blessings as you delight in God and His creation this week and spring forth with your praise!
