“The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

I love this verse from the book of Zephaniah in the Bible.  Zephaniah was a prophet a very long time ago.  This verse tells us about some promises that God gives to us when we believe in Him.

 

God’s Promises, and Our Blessings

“I am in your midst, I am with you always and forever.”

 Thank You, God, that you watch over me and leave me, never.

 

“I am the Mighty One who will save you through Jesus, My Son.”

Thank You, God, for Jesus and saving me because I believe what He has done.

 

“I will rejoice over you with gladness and delight.”

Thank You, God, for your attention as I pray to You each night.

 

“I will quiet and calm your fears and worries with My love.”

Thank You, God, for your peace and love coming to me from above.

 

“I will rejoice over you and sing My eternal song.”

Thank You, God, for your love and comfort that makes me strong.

 

When we know God’s promises to us in the Bible and we believe that God will do what He has promised, then we have faith and trust in God. And that faith and trust is what delights God and He rejoices over us.

This week talk with your parents about a blessing you have received from one of God’s promises. Then draw a picture of your special blessing from God.

Afterwards ask your parents to share your picture by email or Facebook messenger so that everyone can see them on the Kid’s Gallery and thank God for all His awesome promises.
