Miracles are Every Where

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” Romans 8:28 NKJV

A miracle is something that happens that is extraordinary (way above “ordinary”) and that we believe God did just for us. God watches over us and takes care of us, just like He takes care of all of His creation. In the Bible, Jesus said, “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” Matthew 6:26 NKJV

Miracles don’t have to be huge to be from God. Sometimes the smallest, but wonderful things that happen in our lives are from God. And we can thank God for looking out for us.

It’s Saturday! I’m at the park with my Dad.

It’s our special time together, I’m so glad!

Today we brought a kite shaped like a wing,

With a long rag tail and a strong white string.

We eat our packed lunch of PB and J’s first,

Because it’s too calm for a kite, that’s the worst!

We finish the sandwiches, juice and a cookie each.

We try to launch the kite on the lakeside beach.

Dad holds it high and I run as fast as I can.

The kite lifts a little, and crashes, we need a better plan.

Dad runs this time, because he’s faster than me.

I throw the kite up and Dad runs on three!

But the kite just twists and lands in the sand.

Out of breath, we walk to the kite and crash land.

Our Saturday will get better with just a little breeze.

“One more try?” says Dad. I say, “Yes, please!!”

I hold the kite up toward the clear blue sky,

Dad runs, the wind grabs the kite, it can fly!

It climbs and rises as the wind continues to blow.

“Thank you, God, for the wind and the kite that rose!”

The kite sweeps and swirls through the sky God created.

God performed a miracle for us as we waited!

Do you have a miracle that you want to share?

One that shows God loves you and delivers care!

This week draw a picture or tell someone about a miracle that God has given to you or your family!

Afterwards ask your parents to share your picture or story as a reply to this blog so that everyone can learn about God’s every day miracles.
