Choose to Praise!

But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress. O my Strength, I will sing praises to you, for you, O God, are my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love. Psalm 59:16-17 ESV

A rainbow is God’s promise to never destroy the whole earth by flood.

I am choosing to praise the Lord this week and inviting everyone to join me. Life can be discouraging, troublesome, and downright hard. But like David demonstrates in this Psalm, even in the midst of enemies, troubles, and hard times, we, too, can choose to praise our God!

This week I got yet one more rejection letter regarding one of my children’s stories. But in the midst of the discouragement, I can still praise God for the gift and joy to write and the opportunity to submit stories that may one day spread His Word to children.

I’ll probably post it for one of the Christmas kid’s posts this year. So, look for it in December!

Even though things aren’t going as we would like, our God doesn’t change!

I sing to God for He is with us and for us.

I praise God for His love everlasting.

I thank my God, my strong refuge.

I bow down and worship my God, my King,

I call on the name of the Lord, my God.

I love my God, my Lord and my Everything.

Thank You, Lord, for calling me your daughter.

This week join with me as we choose to praise our God, even in the difficulties and disappointments of life. Sing thanks to God who loves and cares for us. Praise the Lord!

I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we choose to praise God even when things don’t work out the way we think they should.

Blessings as we sing praises to our God!

  1. A wonderfully uplifting post, Peggy. Things get so frustrating sometimes that it’s easy to forget Someone cares about us. It’s good to be reminded, and your message today is so important in that regard.

I’m sorry to hear about the manuscript, but I hope you won’t let it get you down. You’re an immesely talented writer and your time is coming, I truly believe it. It’s just a matter of timing, and soon that timing will align perfectly and you’ll finally receve that letter from a publisher stating the good news you desire. I believe in you, but even more, as your message today states, God believes in you and your talents, and He will see you through.

My apologies for missing a couple of your recent posts. I feel like I fell off the face of the earth for a couple of weeks. Just now trying to get back into the swing of things regarding blogging again. Here’s wishing you a wonderful week ahead, my dear friend. Don’t give up! It will happen when the time is right! 😊🙏

  2. Lovely and uplifting..and a timely reminder. I will tell you, do not give up. I got more rejection letters in one year than I did pay stubs. It’s part of the grind. God is faithful, therefore we praise. In the good and the bad, he faithful will remain. 👏🙏🤗🤗
