What a beautiful sunrise this morning! Thank You, God, for the beautiful colors of the sunrise and the brand new day.

Every day there are so many times that we can say thank you to God. Thank You, God for my family, for a house to live in, and for the wonderful world You created for us.

Thank You, God, for my mom and dad,

Who love and care for me and make me glad!

Thank You, God, for this sunny new day,

So I can go out with my dogs and play!

Thank You, God, for my funny best friend.

We laugh and play all day to the end!

Thank You, God, for the dark starry sky,

Too many bright stars to count, but I try!

Thank You, God, for the Bible, your Word,

I read it and my heart is stirred.

Sometimes it’s hard to be thankful when things don’t go the way you wish they would. But even when we have troubles, we can thank God for being with us, for hearing our prayers, for keeping us safe, and we can be thankful by remembering the ways God helped us in the past.

This week talk with your parents about things that all of you can thank God for. Maybe you can add some of your own lines to the poem above! Or you can make a list of things you are thankful for and then give thanks to God.
