Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! Psalm 95:2 ESV

This week we celebrate Thanksgiving, an American holiday! We eat lots of good food with our family and friends and share all that we are thankful for, like our moms and dads, friends and the blessings in our lives. Thanksgiving is a celebration that remembers the first Thanksgiving of the Native Americans and the Pilgrims. What things did you do at school this week for Thanksgiving?

Our Bible verses today are all about giving thanks to God. Did you know there are over 150 Bible verses that talk about how we can give thanks to God? Do you sing songs to God at church or Sunday School? You are giving thanks to God! Do you pray before you eat your meals? You are giving thanks to God! Do you say a quick “Thank you, God!” when things work out well for you? You are giving thanks to God!

This week enjoy your time off from school. Talk with your parents about all the things you can all be thankful for, including them. And remember to thank God for all the wonderful things He has done for you and your family.
