All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. 2 Timothy:16 ESV
How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalm 119:103 ESV
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 ESV
Let my soul live and praise you, and let your rules help me. Psalm 119:175 ESV

Our first verse today tells us that all scripture, all the verses of the Bible were “breathed,” or written with God’s guidance. The books of the Bible were written by many different people, but all were led by God to write the words.
Our next three verses are telling us how God’s words in the Bible can help us. First, God’s words can be sweet like honey. Give thanks to the Lord of Lords, for his steadfast love endures forever. Psalm 136:3 God’s love for us never ends, that is pretty sweet.
God’s words can guide and direct us. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5 God can help us decide the right thing to do as we walk through life with Him.
God’s words give us a good life and that makes us want to praise Him. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. God created every living thing on earth, plants, animals, sea creatures, birds, and humans. God created you to be just who you are, and He has good plans for you!
One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 It helps to remind me to always be kind and forgiving just like Jesus.
This week talk with your parents about some of your and their favorite verses in the Bible. And you can talk about how those verses can help to guide your life and keep you close to God and Jesus. You can also find verses in the Bible to help and strengthen you in troubles.
Blessings and joy as God’s words in the Bible speak to your heart and guide you through life!
