God’s Majestic Creation

O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. Psalm 8:1 ESV

When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him. Psalm 8:3-4 ESV

O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth. Psalm 8:9 ESV

Our fozen pond, the beauty of winter, in part of God’s amazing creation!

Our verses for today were written by King David, he wrote many of the Psalms. This one talks about how majestic God is and how amazing God’s creation is. Majestic is a word to describe how wonderful God is, His power and greatness, His glory and His everlasting love for us.

Think about all that God has created! In Psalm 8 David talks about the moon and the stars, the animals of the earth, the birds of the sky, and the fish in the sea. And he wonders about the everlasting love and care that God has for all people.

We have had a lot of snow in the past week. The changing of seasons is one of God’s amazing creations. Which is your favorite season? We went out and rode around in the snow looking for animal footprints. We saw deer and rabbit and squirrel prints, and lots of our dogs’ pawprints in the snow!

God’s Majestic Creation

Fall is finished and winter is near,

Leaves have fallen, now snow is here.

Soft white snow blankets the ground,

All is quiet, wind is the only sound.

The stars sparkle and the moon is bright,

Swaying tree silhouettes shadow the night.

Small animals scurry through the dark cold,

Searching for food, more precious than gold.

Our majestic God is powerful and great,

Loving and caring for all He did create.

Like you and me and everything we see,

God has a plan for you and all that you can be!

This week talk with your parents and think about all that God has created. He spoke and it was created! Talk about how majestic God is and all that he does for you!

Blessings and joy!

  1. Even more photos and poetry! You’re spoiling us, Peggy! It looks as though you can see forever in the last photo. Wonderful stuff, my friend. I hope 2025 is being kind to you so far. 😊
