Embrace the New Year!

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning. Lamentations 3:22-23a ESV

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19 ESV

God’s mercies are new every day! Each day let us embrace the new year by choosing each day to shine the light of the Lord to someone we meet.

Happy New Year! All of our verses this week are about newness. We became new creations with our belief and faith in Jeus and all that He has done for us. God’s love and mercies are new every morning. And God is doing “a new thing”, He makes a way for us when there seems to be none.

I can’t believe we have another year behind us and are looking forward to a new and exciting year! Have you made any resolutions? This year I think my resolution is to not make any resolutions. 🤣 This year I’m simply going to embrace the new year by looking at each day as a new day that the Lord has given me and do my best to make it count.

Is there someone I can encourage, someone that needs help, someone that needs to know God’s love, someone that needs a listening ear, someone that needs to know they are not alone, someone that needs a smile, someone that needs a prayer, or someone that just needs to know that someone else cares?

This new year I challenge all of us to share the love of Jesus with others. Embrace each new day as a gift and shine His light for others to see. Take a little bit of time to go out of our way to make someone else’s day brighter. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Let’s all embrace this new year, 2025, by embracing our faith in Jesus, God’s never ending love and mercy, and sharing and helping others. Be the light!

I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me today as we embrace a new year with love and joy and shining God’s light to others.

Blessings of love, joy, peace, and strengthened faith in the new year!

    Happy New Year Peggy.
Allowing ourselves to be the vessel that God can use to show his love is a great resolution to have. And h like most new year resolutions, this one doesn’t require giving up too much. All it requires is a willing heart..and the Holy Spirit will take care of the rest.
