Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a ESV

Today is Mother’s Day, a day to celebrate your mom and all she does for you! What plans do you have for your mom today? Are you and your dad taking her to lunch? Did you make her a card? Moms love cards! My son is an adult now and he still makes me a handwritten card on Mother’s Day, it’s special.
Our verses for today are all about love, what love is and what love isn’t, because our moms are love. Today let’s all take time to celebrate mom! What do you call your mom?
Thank You, Moms!
Moms love no matter how often we do wrong.
Moms love with kindness, making us strong.
Moms love to listen to our troubles and joys.
Moms love, when without asking, we pick up our toys.
Moms love to take us to soccer and dance.
Moms love to watch us get better and advance.
Moms love to share stories of when we were little.
Moms love making Sunday morning pancakes on a griddle.
Moms love us forever and ever and will never quit.
Mom, I love you, too, for all the love you give me, I admit!
Today, do something special for your mom. Make her a card, cook her breakfast (with Dad’s help), make her a cake, give her lots of hugs, do the dishes, and don’t forget to tell her how special she is to you. Maybe you could write your own poem for your mom!
Blessings and joy as you celebrate your mom today!
If your mom is not around, I am so sorry. I know it’s hard. My mom is not around anymore, and I miss her. I pray that you have someone to love you and care for you. Dads and grandmothers and grandfathers are good at loving us, too!

My sisters hold her hostage on Mother’s Day, and take her wherever her old heart wants to go. She loves being out and about. A real social butterfly at 90. But she still steals a few minutes for me, just to pray. It’s our Sunday tradition. I’m sure your memories of your mum are oh so precious. I’m sorry she’s no longer with us. May her memory burn bright and stronger with each passing day.
Lovely writing, Peggy. 💜

Thank you, Nigel, for your kind comments! I love your Sunday tradition with your mum, how special! And that your sisters “hold her hostage” on Mother’s Day! My mom passed in 2001, way too young, from cancer, but she was an amazing mom.

What a lovely sentiment! My mother turned 90 in March. It was a blessing to see her—she is still working her crossword and jigsaw puzzles and still fiesty as every. Praise God!
