Thanks In Everything!

Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 CSB

A beautiful fall dawn in God’s most amazing creation! Thank You, Lord!

This week we celebrate our American holiday of Thanksgiving. Although its history began with the Pilgrims and Native Americans celebrating a bountiful fall harvest, we celebrate with thanks and gratitude for all the blessings in our lives. We gather with family and friends and serve traditional foods as well as non-traditional foods which may become our new traditions. This year; ribeye roast, lamb and scallops along with cornbread dressing, sweet potatoes and cranberries.

Thanksgiving offers each of us the opportunity to remember the blessings in our lives, over the past year and through past generations. How many of us take turns with those around our table to recall and speak our thankfulness aloud? It’s hard to complain when we are thankful.

Thanks in Everything!

Thank You, Lord,

For my family and all our friends,

And the closeness that never ends.

For fond memories of those now gone,

Your comfort lightens grief like the dawn.

Thank You, Lord,

For Your Son who gave His life for us,

Following Your will and love for us.

For Your Word that speaks Your story,

Allowing us to give You all the glory.

Thank You, Lord!

For the troubles and trials of life,

Strengthening us through our strife.

For the times You seem to be far away,

Chasing after us, calling when we stray.

This week spend some time in thanksgiving. Thanking God for all He has done and will do in your life. Celebrate Thanksgiving with gratitude and thanks, with joy and praise for our mighty God.

I thank God for each of you! And I thank you for joining me this week as we thank the Lord for all His blessings in our lives.

Blessings and rejoicing!
